Traditional Roast Lamb

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg Leg of Lamb
  • 2-3 potatoes cut into thirds
  • 4-6 pieces pumpkin
  • Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Spices

Method

1. Cut small slits into lamb and insert garlic cloves.
2. Brush lamb with oil and season with Vegeta or seasoning spices.
3. Select ROAST program. TIME to 1 hour 5 minutes. Press START.
4. Spray inner pot with oil and allow heating for approximately 5 minutes with lid closed.
5. Insert lamb and sear on all sides then continue to cook. Turn once after 15 minutes of cooking.
6. When 20 minutes is remaining, place the oiled and seasoned vegetables around the lamb & continue to cook. On completion, remove the lamb and rest for 10 minutes in foil. While lamb rests vegetables can be crisped on the fry setting with the lid open or left in the KEEP WARM setting until required.

Hint: Add flour & mix with bowl juices and water to make gravy.
Tip: 2kg leg of lamb = 1hour 35 minutes.

Cooking time: 1 hour (approx)
